Voglio qui trattar brevemente del tema del cosiddetto “great” reset – espressione che usa questo termine (“reset”) in modo improprio, essendo il “reset” come quando s’inceppa il computer e devi premere quel tasto che sta sopra il pulsante dell’accensione: il “reset”, appunto, che significa che il sistema operativo non vi funziona bene per una qualche ragione), dunque devi riaccender tutto rimettendo in ordine i processi “sequenziati” (e sequenziali) che pongono la macchina in funzione.
Non si tratta, tuttavia, oggi (nella fase attuale), di tendenze “nuove” in quanto tali, ma, piuttosto, dell’ esasperazione di tendenze già – tutte (nessuna esclusa, proprio) – ben presenti, frutto della “mania digitale”, cioè: ti vogliono sempre “dar di più” e, alla fine, di danno di meno, seppur non ti fanno un danno …, ma, sempre, si tratta di qualcosa di più macchinoso[1].
Ma torniamo al punto.
Se si tratta di “mero settaggio”, e non di “resettaggio”, se tu, cioè, perduri nei processi che c’erano già prima, ma semplicemente rafforzi la direzione di tali, già esistenti, fenomeni, che cosa sta succedendo, davvero? Che i fenomeni che prima, pur essendoci, avevano una determinata “scala”, ne acquistano una dimensione più forte ancora. Diciamo, allora, etimologicamente, che tali fenomeni prendono un aspetto “catastrofico”, una natura “catastrofica”, cioè saremo vicini al “punto d’indecidibilità” del quale si discettava tempo fa su tal blog.

Il “resto” non è “silenzio”, ma sono solo chiacchiere da social - o, come li chiamo io, “a-social” …
RispondiEliminaIl punto vero si è che, come tanti, molti, moltissimi, è mancata del tutto all’appello un’analisi della lunga fase della digitalizzazione, fase che oggi sta sempre più accelerando, appunto, non è un “Reset” ma una ulteriore fase di “settaggio”.
Questo purtroppo è verissimo: che c’è stato un vero e proprio crollo interiore: come abboccano facile questi “tradizionalisti” … ma questo nasce proprio perché non hanno alcuna idea della simulazione, del sistema tutto virtuale, credono ancora di star di fronte a Hitler o Stalin
E questo genere di “analisi” ahi noi continua: la gente continua ad agitare lo spettro – molto “marxiano” … mo’ ce vo’ … – di un mondo che non c’è più …

RispondiEliminaNow, as for the topic of 'reset', I would like to add that in fact the very nature of the today's digitalized, virtualized world gives the false impression in the masses that things can be simply reset, i.e., that a return to a previous state is a possible option. In the strict sense it is not even true with the computer, as from the physical point of view, keeping on repeated resets can render it unusable or non-recoverable on the long run. Nevertheless, on the surface it seems that a previous state gets completely restored, with (1) simply pushing a button and (2) taking immediate effect. People in the virtualized domain have very much gotten used to this unnaturally mechanical and sudden flop as a possible remedy, though with an increasing frustration that in the daily and social life it is far from working like this. But, I would be very much surprised if the appearance of Mr. A. and its co. would not strongly build on this fallacy, with a seemingly working evocation, with such signs of mechanical and immediate effect that in this way would precipitate the 'reset' globally, to which the masses have already been predisposed.

But the “ol’ mailing lists” was closed basically due to the “progress” of what I call: “The ‘Asocial’ Age” … ah ah – Or: “The Age of Public and Collective Narcissism” … – a clear contradiction but not as more difficult to be understood than the “individualism of the masses”, another contradiction … apparently …
Yes it is, it is a fundamental impression that all **must** seem “easy” to be set, reset, or changed but instead what we are seeing is the exact opposing phenomenon: Things become increasingly more difficult to be managed and instability grows esponentially. We live in a virtualized word based on the “simulacra” which are not merely “false” but a “second (constructed) nature” that has effects upon us as not based on the Being of the things themselves. Ab enormous construction, Baudrillard would’ve called it: “The **radical** false”, which has effects upon reality but not based on it.
Therefore – as you rightly say – it is ** impossible** - impossible – to “return” to the previous stage of the world: There are two lives, the one we all had before the Coronavirus pandemic, and the second life, the life after the pandemic, which continues and sees many consequences.
No return is possible. But this illusion is fundamental to be spread as the idealization of the “before”, as the canceling of all the bad things the famous “before” was full of. Which is impossible simply, firmly and evidently. But this plain impossibility, based on the nature of the things and on easy “good sense”, will inevitably engender and make grow frustration and the “Request” of a “Change” **all over the WHOLE WORLD**, non ore limited to nations or part of the world.
This too is inevitable.
At this point you ask if the “A.” and his “co.” – as you call ‘em – will start to construct on their sense of frustration, on this “Big Request” to “come back” to a less deviated phase of the never-ending process of implosion of the social world. My answer is: Yes, they will do it - and there are signs they are just starting to do it …
